What to Put Behind a QR Code on Your Insurance Business Card

By Nick Berry

A QR code on a business card solves a real problem: someone you just met doesn’t have to type your name into their phone or hope they remember it later. But a lot of agents scan their own code and find it leads to a static digital business card, essentially the same information already printed right next to the code.

The scan is the easy part. What happens after the scan is what determines whether that person becomes a client.

What the scan should lead to

Whoever scans your code has already decided you’re worth a second look. Give them something to do with that interest:

  • A way to save your contact information directly to their phone
  • A quote link, if they mentioned needing one
  • A way to connect their current insurance, if they’re comparing options
  • Your phone number and email, for the people who’d rather just call

An AgencyCard covers all of this on one page, so the same QR code works whether you handed your card to someone at a networking event, a client’s referral, or a booth at a community event.

Where else the same code works

Once you have a QR code pointed at your AgencyCard, it isn’t limited to business cards. The same code works on:

  • Flyers and mailers
  • Office signage
  • Presentation slides
  • Event materials and table signs

Because it’s the same link everywhere, you only need to generate the code once, and you only need to update one page if your contact information or your agency changes.
